Course Description
This course is designed to do on-site research on the history, geography, and culture of the Land of Israel of the New Testament with special emphasis given to the life, teachings, and ministry of Jesus and the Apostles around the Lake of Galilee and the final week before His passion in Jerusalem.

3. Masters level only: Bruce, F.F., New Testament History, Doubleday Galilee.
Course Requirements
1. Attend all lectures.
2. Keep a daily detailed journal for the field study itinerary.
3. Complete all reading assignments.
4. Write a paper on a selected topic (12-15 pages).
5. Take an exam covering text material as assigned.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course the student will have:
1. A basic grasp of the geography and land divisions of Israel.
2. A basic grasp of the historical setting into which Jesus came.
3. A new appreciation for the study of archaeology and its place in Biblical scholarship.
4. A better understanding of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospels.
5. A deeper appreciation for the position of biblical inerrancy and a deeper love for the Word of God.
